The Planetarium

The third room before the final exhibit; visitors are given a vast, open projected space that represents the epitome of the artificial. It is the greatest exposure to the "natural world" through digital means, and the contrast between open space and the closed dome represents the final mental block before the fourth, open room.

The third room initiates the physical involvement of creating visual stimulation, as the giant lava lamp is surrounded by a series of gears and planet mobiles. A moving kaleidoscope: visitors push the gears and twist the planets, allowing the projectors to rotate around the room and create various images.
